Quantic headlines La Paloma with a globe-spanning DJ set traversing cumbia, soul, and funk, joined by Chica Acosta and Angela Blackburn. Tickets on Mood.
La Paloma welcomes Quantic, one of the great masters of global music, for a night traveling from Colombia to soul, cumbia and the most danceable funk. Will Holland, a British producer and DJ based in Brooklyn, has spent over two decades cultivating an unmistakable sound that has passed through Tru Thoughts and his own Selva label, and recently culminated in his DJ-Kicks mix. Angela Blackburn, a Colombian-born DJ and activist based in Barcelona and a reference in Afro-Latin music with sounds ranging from son to champeta, will open the night. Chica Acosta, also Colombian and a Barcelona resident, will close, fusing Afro-Caribbean and tropical rhythms with house and club sound. A night of rhythm, roots and celebration.
