Pongo is an Angolan singer, songwriter, and performer, recognized as one of the most distinctive voices of the new generation in contemporary world music. Born in Luanda and based in Lisbon since the age of eight, her music reflects a deep connection to identity, culture, and resilience. She rose to international fame at sixteen with the hit “Kalemba (Wegue Wegue)”. Today, she is a leading Afro-fusion artist known for her high-energy performances across Europe and a notable appearance on COLORSxSTUDIOS. Her sound masterfully blends kuduro, afrobeats, and electronic music. After a successful performance at Paradiso during Amsterdam Dance Event, she returns to Tolhuistuin to showcase music including her single “Banana”, which mixes afrobeats with a warm, grooving vibe and a patois-infused flow.
