Three street punks--Turk, his girlfriend BB., and his sidekick Wimp--observe two young affluent kids, Ginger and Danny, shoplifting from a record store. On a lark, the street kids invite themselves along to a party at the home of the yuppies' friends, Rod and Arlene. There the party games turn from strip darts to Russian roulette.

A home invasion thriller with an erotic, sociopathic twist. Indeed, it's a classic SOV with that flat video effect, but the ambitious amateurism is lovingly crafted into a clever homage to Corman's gleefully deranged horror/comedy. Saturated in rich day-glo's and hilarious '80's lingo, funsters.
It's very funny to me that people think this is homophobic -- it's literally about a group of effeminate queens who pick up, dominate, and then kill trade for sport. That this was produced by a company that made and distributed gay softcore makes it even more obvious that it isn't meant to be horror -- it's an erotic fantasy, the sort that wouldn't be out of place in a yellowed back issue of Straight to Hell.
Unlike most cheaply made SOV movies, Venus Flytrap is actually fairly competently made. Like others have mentioned, this movie takes a lot of cues from Ruggero Deodato's House on the Edge of the Park, but it is more goofy than nasty and it adds an interesting twist.
