111 shakes you, shoves you, releases and gathers, with enough belief to shake walls. Led by a fiery bassist-vocalist, they play as they would fight : no filter, no good manners, no apologies. Bass, guitar, drums, all attuned to the same fire : rock music as a place to breathe, dance, laugh, and think. Post-punk, noise, or "just" rock... 111 flies across genres as one would fan the flames. Esthetics is not a costume but a weapon to say no, loud and clear, to everything that damages you. Frontal and political, the lyrics burn. Naming violence, attacks and dictates, exposing the absurd, empowering bodies. Songs for those of us who are interrupted, judged, raped, hit, for those some try to erase. On stage, unruly bodies move without compromising their existence, because there is no other place to make a stand. On stage, it all becomes possible again : shouting, transcending the norm, gaining confidence and healing.
