Forming a band over the garden fence doesn’t sound very punk. But this was the moment British singer Ben Galliers (The Voo) and German producer Mark Tavassol (Wir sind Helden) decided to create what is now the five-piece post-punk band Agassi. Brash, emotional, and direct. Anarchic, yet still good guys and girls, a post-punk band with dreamy indie moments. ‘Neue Deutsche Welle’ in English? On their debut album Arcade Melodies, they sing and rant; they are raw and then uplifting. This band gives you energy. This is Agassi.
