Based in Paris, Mathilde Auneveux and Alexandre Haudiquet got together in 2025 to form the duo Mercure Chrome, combining dark wave, punk rock, and EDM. Inspired by the world of Eric Serra and, more recently, Sextile, Alexandre blends raw synths, electric guitar, and nostalgic glitchy sounds from the 1990s. Mathilde writes lyrics and melody that evoke emotional breakdown, the difficulty of being alone, and the violence that surrounds us. Together, they poetically portray the dysfunction of the world.
