A nostalgic, underground indie rock act.
New Marshall Plan is an indie rock band from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Their music pulls heavily from the nostalgic sounds of the 80s, 90s, and 00s, blending post-punk rhythms, driving guitars, and vintage synth textures reminiscent of Interpol, Muse and Depeche Mode but also more current bands like Rainbow Kitten Surprise. While the four members spent years writing together underground, the project shifted into high gear in 2023. A sudden family loss forced a hard look at priorities, turning long-running studio sessions into an urgent, deliberate push to bring their music to the world. Working with producer Martijn Groeneveld at Mailmen Studio (Blaudzun, Klangstof), they delivered Escalate, followed by a full studio overhaul of their early self-recorded Bermuda album. Now with over two million independent streams, the band is focused firmly on what lies ahead. With plans to record their third full-band album and launch their first run of European dates, New Marshall Plan makes music built for dark places, loud stages and listeners who still care about songs with 'meaning'. New Marshall Plan is: * Rogier Werschkull: Vocals, guitar * Roeland van der Put: Drums, keys, backing vocals * David van Putten: Guitar, keys, drums * Bart Koopman: Bass, guitar
