PETRU KSS

Corsican-born producer and live performer, PETRU thrives with bold, driving techno and storytelling. Blending rhythmic precision with a strong sense of narrative and contrast, his music evokes both physical intensity and cinematic depth. Rooted in hands-on, expressive, hardware-centric production, PETRU was awarded the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in Electronic Music for his ongoing research project THRiPPS – Techno, Hardware-centric, Real-time, Improvisation, Production and Performance Study, which explores live, improvisational performance practices. After drawing attention with his debut KSS EP and then Mediocracy on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records, PETRU released Mirage and Drifting Embers on long-standing UK label City Wall Records. His well-received EPs featured remixes from established producers such as Alexander Kowalski and Developer. His forthcoming debut album, Kolibri Live LP, marks an important milestone: a cinematic and immersive voyage from nature to space, recorded live in the wilderness of Corsica, with growing support from respected figures across the scene.
