Phil Donkin
As one of the Europe’s most in demand bassists working in jazz today, Phil Donkin has been praised as a musician with « a thundering sound and impeccable time » by The Guardian and as an instrumentalist with « an assertive rhythmic and a sonic bold presence » by Jazzwise. Now, Donkin just released his first album solo album 'Walk Alone', to add to the two albums he released for quartet : 'The Gate' and 'Value'. Donkin has performed with some of the greatest current artists in American and European Jazz, including Marc Copland, John Abercrombie, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ben Monder, Kevin Hays, Shai Maestro, Dhafer Youssef, Tigran Hamasyan, Nir Felder, Jonathan Kreisberg, Ralph Alessi, Gwilym Simcock, Nils Wogram, Ronny Graupe, Kalle Kalima, Bastian Stein and Lucia Cadotsch.
