Pop Will Eat Itself
A high-energy industrial artist.
PWEI.40 sees founder members Graham Crabb and Adam Mole cut loose and revel in 40 years of PWEI Noise Pollution with a new project celebrating four decades of sonic disruption, cultural cut-ups and electronic mayhem. Rather than revisiting the past, PWEI.40 looks forward—reframing and reimagining the band’s legacy through a series of new works, collaborations and live interventions set to unfold across 2026/2027. Working once again with longtime visual collaborators The Designers Republic, who also celebrate their 40th anniversary, PWEI.40 signals a renewed creative partnership between two of the UK’s most distinctive and influential underground forces. The pair head out “on parole” bringing the project to the stage in a stripped-back, high-impact live format, reshaping classic material into a two-man sonic joyride. The first announced appearance is confirmed at Shiiine On Festival in Minehead on November 13th. Meanwhile, the full five-piece Pop Will Eat Itself band will perform nine shows across May and September, including appearances at Bearded Theory and The Mucky Weekender. These will be the only full band dates this year. Further transmissions to follow.
