Prize Collect is the indie outfit of guitarist/songwriter Marzio Scholten. After many successful musical wanderings through the Dutch music landscape – you might know him from indie band Opera Alaska or his Edison-nominated lo-fi solo project Ruis – Scholten now steps into the indie world as a singer and frontman with Prize Collect. Prize Collect’s fresh indie pop is recognizable for its omnipresent catchy guitar hooks and breezy vocal lines, but it’s above all the strong, compact songs that make Prize Collect stand out. Indie guitar pop with real impact, drawing inspiration from '90s power pop and alternative rock. The self-titled debut album from 2024 received glowing reviews in important outlets such as De Volkskrant and OOR. Singles were played on stations including NPO Radio 2, Radio Veronica, and KINK. Early 2025 saw the release of the single “The Distance.” Prize Collect is working on new music with producer Sam van Hoogstraten (Robin Kester, Nieuwe Gezichten, A.M. Sam, a.o.) which will be released in 2026.
