Dealing with the here and now, laying bare what is truly there! Take the fierce hardcore punk of Poison Idea, mix in some early eighties Metallica, and, to balance it out, add a touch of Candlemass. Put it all into a blender. As we all know, sound alone isn't everything; you'll need a healthy dose of realistic worldviews, à la Bad Brains, Rudimentary Peni, or even Sepultura, to spice up the outcome. To what extent these influences shape the music of Prophet & Flesh is up to the listener, but one thing is clear: you can't hold a mirror up to people if you limit yourself.
