Short Dogs Grow is an American alternative rock group, based in San Francisco, CA. Tom Pitts (guitar/vocals/songwriter) and Carmela Thompson (bass) started Short Dogs Grow in a Victorian flat in San Francisco. Former members include Joe Pethoud (drums), Marc Heathfield (vocals) and George Fenley , RIP, (drums). Greg Foot (guitars, vocals) continues to contribute to songwriting. Current lineup includes Tom, Carmela, Chewy Marzolo (drums) and Joe Dean (guitar). The band released two LPs On Rough Trade Records , Self- Entitled and Matt Dillion and one EP on Lil' Hunka Gold Records, Quit While You're Young. They continue to write music and perform live.
