The Manatees
Hailing from a sleepy town on the south coast of England, The Manatees (Jay, Tyler, Miller, Issy and Joe) combine samples, pulsing bass lines, thrashing guitars and candid lyrics to carve out their own soundscape within modern rock. 2024 Saw the release of their second EP, ‘Different State of Mind’, which was supported extensively by BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Spotify and Apple. Tracks from the EP were also recorded during their first live TV performance for Channel 4’s, ‘Made in Chelsea’. Earning a reputation for their explosive live shows, the band toured their EP in April, selling out shows in London, Bristol and Manchester. With summer, came slots at this year’s SXSW, Truck and Live at Leeds Festival, alongside their biggest hometown show to date at Papillon, and another sold out London show at the Camden Assembly. The Manatees have set themselves on an exciting trajectory, with no plans to slow down heading into 2025.
