A nostalgic concerto night.
Royal Northern Sinfonia and violinist Maria Włoszczowska bring a riot of baroque colour and storytelling to their Kings Place debut. The programme features Biber’s playful Sonata Representativa, full of animal imitations, alongside Muffat’s bold Concerto Grosso No. 4. The second half explores well-known baroque voices with Telemann’s witty Burlesque de Don Quichotte, blending classical forms with folk dances. The concert concludes with Vivaldi’s iconic The Four Seasons, performed with energy and fresh detail under the direction of Włoszczowska.
