In deze speciale extra editie van de IJ-Salon zoeken we naar de muziek van de toekomst. Voor het eerst verwelkomt de IJ-Salon het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest. Het volledige orkest voert vier wereldpremières uit van opkomende componisten, die via een zorgvuldig proces zijn geselecteerd. Naast dit nieuwe werk bevat het programma verrassingen van Duke Ellington. Het publiek krijgt ook de kans om in gesprek te gaan met de makers van deze hedendaagse composities.
