Lagos to Berlin
An underground, slow-burn experimental night.
Curated by artist Emeka Ogboh, the Volkswagen Group Art4All project presents Danfotronics. The concept draws from the iconic yellow Danfo buses of Lagos, which Ogboh has reimagined as functional sound sculptures. For one afternoon on the museum terrace, this installation serves as a musical bridge between Lagos and Berlin, featuring a selection of musicians who explore the sonic connections between West Africa and the German capital. The installation incorporates voices and field recordings from Lagos, transforming a mode of transportation into a site for artistic dialogue and sound performance.
