Cancer Bats is a Canadian hardcore punk band formed in Toronto in 2004. The band blends elements of hardcore punk, metalcore, and sludge metal, delivering aggressive riffs, screamed vocals, and high-energy performances. Currently comprising Liam Cormier on vocals, Mike Peters on drums, Jaye R. Schwarzer on bass and guitar, and Jackson Landry on guitar, the group has released seven studio albums, including their debut Birthing the Giant and the 2022 release Psychic Jailbreak.
