Emma Rawicz wordt erkend als een van de grote saxofonisten van de nieuwe Britse jazzgeneratie. Met INKYRA slaat ze een ambitieuze nieuwe richting in. Haar nog altijd zo pakkende melodieën en grooves vormen nu de basis voor collectieve improvisaties op hoog niveau. Hierin krijgen de zes topspelers ruimte om volop te schitteren. Noem het jazz, rock, fusion of singer-songwriter; uiteindelijk komt het allemaal samen in een unieke eigen stijl. De jonge ster uit Londen neemt in haar eigen composities een voorbeeld aan legendes als Joe Henderson en Wayne Shorter.
