Lamento for Latency
A slow-burn, underground classical night.
Konzerthaus Berlin, Gendarmenmarkt 2, 10117 Berlin, Germany
As we scroll, bodies become quieter and other networks louder. In the digital age, we are simultaneously connected and alone, where misunderstandings accumulate and anti-communication creates an endless space. "Lamento for Latency" is a dance performance exploring the hesitation between impulse and movement, touch and echo. Latency describes the delay between an event and the subsequent reaction—both a technical phenomenon and a deeply human experience of time, proximity, and what is lost before it arrives. The performance focuses on the body's absence within the digital fabric, acting as a receiver, delayer, and sender. Two dancers create a real-time web where connection, delay, resonance, and misunderstanding are inextricably intertwined.
