COLA REN is a music producer and DJ from Guangzhou and founder of the AMWAV label, weaving together observations of human nature, inward reflection, and the poetry of travel. Classically trained in piano with a background in photography, her cinematic sound design moves fluidly across ambient, jazz, downtempo, and leftfield territories, shaped by subtle East Asian nuances. Her latest release, Mekong Ballad (2025), continues an evolving artistic path following her previous projects Hailu (2023) and Forest Drone (2024), drawing upon river-guided journeys and memory.
