A nostalgic, raw chamber music night.
French oboist Armand Djikoloum, solo oboe of the Hamburg Staatsoper, returns to Wigmore Hall alongside pianist Jâms Coleman. The recital explores the oboe’s versatile expressive range, featuring Marina Dranishnikova’s exquisite Poème and Pavel Haas’s dramatic Oboe Suite, written just before the Second World War. The programme also includes works by Clara Schumann, Ernest Chausson, Lili Boulanger, and Johann Wenzel Kalliwoda.
