Pianist Alex Webb and saxophonist Tony Kofi lead The Pocket Ellington, recreating a classic Ellingtonian sound with four horns and a rhythm section. The performance features new arrangements of Duke Ellington compositions from the 1930s to 1950s alongside pieces by Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, and Gil Evans, with guest vocals by Marvin Muoneké.
