With their debut album Out of Place, the duo shifted from bedroom-pop to a louder indie-rock sound. Inspired by Nick Drake and the openness of Girl in Red, they are now joined by a full band on stage. Their songs tackle themes of teenage angst and queer identity with a raw honesty that avoids romanticization, finding beauty in the difficulties of growing up.
