The Slavic Romanticism program features some of the most famous and melodious works in music history. The evening includes Bedřich Smetana's symphonic cycle 'Ma Vlast' (My Fatherland), specifically the internationally beloved movement 'The Moldau' (Vltava), which paints a musical portrait of the Bohemian landscape. The centerpiece is Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 'From the New World,' his most successful work, which blends American influences with traditional Czech composition. Additionally, Tchaikovsky's overture 'Romeo and Juliet' will be performed, renowned for its intense emotional power and sensual love theme. The concert is performed with Slavic soul by the Czech Symphony Orchestra, Prague, under the direction of Maestro Petr Chromčák.
