An underground jazz night.
Robert Mitchell debuts his powerhouse trio featuring Zayn Mohammed and Laurie Lowe, blending jazz, fusion, and psychedelic blues. Tickets on Mood.
Robert Mitchell presents Little Black Book, a new power trio featuring guitarist Zayn Mohammed and drummer Laurie Lowe. Bringing together two of Mitchell's long-standing musical partnerships for the first time, the group draws on the heavy fusion of Chick Corea and Allan Holdsworth, the psychedelic blues swagger of Jimi Hendrix and the fearless multi-media explorations of Cecil Taylor. The trio performs music from its acclaimed debut album, Little Black Book: Vol. 1: Blueprint (Of An Infinite Gift), released on Whirlwind Recordings, alongside new material. Blending jazz, fusion, rock, classical influences, free improvisation and cinematic textures, the music reflects Mitchell's restless creativity and wide-ranging musical vision. Making their Ronnie Scott's debut, Little Black Book promises an evening of fearless improvisation, explosive interplay and exceptional musicianship. Signed copies of the debut album on vinyl and CD will also be available on the night.
The show takes place on October 8, 2026, at Ronnie Scott's located at 47 Frith St, London.
The trio consists of pianist Robert Mitchell, guitarist Zayn Mohammed, and drummer Laurie Lowe.
