Altın Gün
Grammy-nominated Dutch-Turkish band Altın Gün brings its unique blend of psychedelic folk-rock to the BBC Proms for the first time. Drawing on its Anatolian rock album Garip, the performance serves as a tribute to the great Turkish folk musician Neşet Ertaş. The band joins forces with special guest Derya Yıldırım, conductor Jules Buckley, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra to transform cool riffs and Anatolian folk textures into rich orchestral arrangements.
