A double concert featuring two British duos offering innovative visions of folk music. The Breath, a Manchester-based singer-songwriter duo, creates disarming and personal songs. Vocalist Rioghnach Connolly and guitarist Stuart McCallum (of The Cinematic Orchestra) deliver a spellbinding performance that has earned them praise from The Guardian and multiple album releases on Peter Gabriel's Real World label. Opening the night is Spafford Campbell, a London duo consisting of Owen Spafford on fiddle and Louis Campbell on guitar. Their music blends jazz, electronics, and chamber music elements with their traditional folk roots, resulting in what Mojo describes as a 'disturbing beauty'.
