Damián Nueva Quintet: Afro-Cuban Groove
Cuban double bassist, composer, and actor Damián Nueva brings his quintet to Ronnie Scott's for an evening blending Afro-Cuban grooves with jazz improvisation. Mentored by Buena Vista Social Club's Orlando López 'Cachaito', Nueva fuses classical, Afro-Cuban, and jazz traditions, drawing inspiration from the sounds of Havana and his album Orisun.
