Inspired by a restored 1937 Pleyel concert grand piano, Finghin Collins presents a program paying tribute to the legacy of Ignace Pleyel. The performance traces Pleyel's influence from his studies with Haydn to the development of piano music by Chopin and Debussy. The recital also features works by Joseph O’Kelly and Georges Pfeiffer, both of whom were partners in the historic Pleyel firm.
