StarkLinnemann Trio: Transcending Beethoven
StarkLinnemann translates age-old classics into the sound of today. Having previously worked with Liszt and Chopin, they now tackle Beethoven's Piano Sonata, Opus 28. In 'Transcending Beethoven', the trio transforms his music into robust jazz compositions while keeping the original forms intact. By adding modern rhythms and harmonies, they bridge musical history and the 21st century. Since 2012, led by pianist Paul Stark and drummer Jonas Linnemann, the group has developed a style they call 'Universal Crossover Music'.
