An underground experimental night.
An experimental live sound ritual blending polyrhythms, heavy bass, and diasporic sonic lineages at 20nine30 studio. Tickets on Mood.
ANCXSTRAL FREQUENCIES: Re-Rootings is an experimental live sound ritual driven by heavy, pulsating bass and layered polyrhythms. Drawing on Gnawa percussion, Nigerian talking drums, Bwiti ritual sounds, West African and West Asian samples, and Arabic rhythmic cycles, the performance brings diverse sonic lineages into dialogue with experimental electronics. Through vinyl, samples, plant sounds, women's voices, singing, spoken word, and improvisation, RUSNAM, Anguezomo Nzé Mba Bikoro, and Nane Kahle create a shifting soundscape in which ancestral resonances meet contemporary sonic experimentation. Part live performance, part collective ritual, the event approaches sound as a carrier of memory, resistance, and intergenerational knowledge, opening a space for listening, movement, and reconnection across histories, geographies, and diasporas. Free entry with required registration.
