Maverick saxophonist, composer, and producer Yasuaki Shimizu brings his genre-defying sound to the EFG London Jazz Festival. A central figure in Japanese music for nearly five decades, Shimizu is celebrated for his work across pop, film scores, and collaborations with artists like Ryuichi Sakamoto and Björk. In this performance, Shimizu performs a brand new live show in a duo with his sister, Mieko Shimizu. The concert features new arrangements of material spanning his extensive repertoire, from the Japanese folk-electronic blends of his solo work to his large-scale commissions.
