Under the leadership of YoshimiO, a founding member of Boredoms, OOIOO has crafted a unique musical language that subverts expectations of pop and experimental music. Originally formed in 1996 for a magazine photo shoot, the all-female ensemble has evolved into intense performers known for their transcendent live shows. Their music freely weaves organic and electric tones into a vivid tapestry, drawing from a wide range of influences to create a dense, frantic, yet accessible sound that reflects YoshimiO's unique artistic vision.
