Jakub Hrůša and the BBC Symphony Orchestra are joined by pianist Lukáš Vondráček for Rachmaninov’s Third Piano Concerto, a peak of Romantic piano literature once famously performed only by its creator. The programme commences with the folk-inflected rhythms and haunting melodies of Vítězslava Kaprálová’s Suita rustica.
