An underground orchestral night.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra presents a programme of powerful 20th-century landscapes. Conductor Adam Hickox leads the orchestra in Ralph Vaughan Williams' visionary Fifth Symphony, a work of spacious beauty written during the Second World War. The concert also features Grażyna Bacewicz's bold and defiant Overture and Jean Sibelius' mighty Violin Concerto, performed by RPO Artist-in-Residence Liya Petrova.
