A nostalgic, open-air blues night.
When Rag Doll was founded in 2012, singer Käthe von T. and pianist Amy Protscher shared a deep connection to the 1920s, specifically influenced by the legendary 'Empress of the Blues' Bessie Smith. Alongside trombonist Tanja Becker, the Berlin-based trio recreates the golden era of music with a performance full of humor and emotional depth. The group takes their audience on a journey through Ragtime, Boogie Woogie, Harlem Stride, and Barrelhouse. Their performances transform any stage into a vintage Juke Joint from the American South, where listeners are encouraged to swing and dance to the vibrant sounds of the Roaring Twenties.
