Stravinsky’s Vuurvogel
De vuurvogel van Igor Stravinsky is een van de geliefdste werken in het orkestrepertoire. Vanmiddag klinkt het klassieke ballet uit 1910 in een zelden gehoorde versie voor slechts één piano. Dit huzarenstukje wordt uitgevoerd door Mattias Spee, een jonge pianist en componist die bekend staat om zijn avontuurlijke vertolkingen. In Stravinsky’s eigen pianobewerking komt de kleurenpracht van de muziek volledig tot zijn recht. Het concert vindt plaats in de buitenlucht op het terras van het Muziekgebouw. Mattias Spee was finalist van Dutch Classical Talent in het seizoen 2023-2024 en wordt gezien als een van de meest veelbelovende pianotalenten van Nederland.
