Join us for an intimate listening session with South African-born, Berlin-based musician and sonic poet Dumama. She will guide the audience through her latest record, 'Towards an Expanse', alongside a selection of music and sonic traditions that have deeply influenced her practice. The event features a shared listening experience, conversation, and stories behind her creative process. Dumama's work uniquely blends voice, storytelling, experimental electronics, and the traditional Xhosa uHadi bow, exploring themes of ancestral memory, Black sonic archives, spirituality, and futurism. This event also serves as a fundraiser to support Dumama's housing stability. Records will be available for purchase at the venue.
