Experience Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony and Emperor Concerto performed by Gewandhausorchester Leipzig at Barbican Centre. Tickets on Mood.
The Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and world-renowned pianist Lang Lang join forces to perform Beethoven's monumental Fifth Piano Concerto. Under the baton of Andris Nelsons, the program opens with the beloved Pastoral Symphony, which vividly captures the composer's impressions of the countryside through musical depictions of nature, from bird calls to a passing storm. The evening culminates in the Emperor Concerto, a work that the Gewandhausorchester famously premiered in 1811.
