Daayra questions whether the thin line that sometimes feels necessary to cross should be crossed or not. I have had multiple arguments with people about police encounters being unethical, yet some crimes sound so heinous that one can't humanize the culprits. This film presents the same dilemma as a gritty thriller. Though there have been multiple films on a similar topic addressing a similar conflict, this one still feels unique in its own way. Meghna Gulzar really knows her stuff.I loved the screenplay structure and especially the ending. The final song with Gulzar's lyrics and Amit Trivedi's music was spot on.

A film with half baked story, with no real intention. It didn't know what it wants to present. What makes me a little bit angry is that, somewhere I feel these bollywood films nowadays have been resting their head on rape scenes, full fledging them to the extent they seem is possible for them. I have no agnst with it, if it helps enhance your story, your filmmaking. But just to double click on those scenes just for the sake of it, just to put weight on something that your story and filmmaking is incapable of doing, it's very childish and ignorant. This scene made me recall Assi, even there I didn't find well the purpose of it. Well, whatever suits by you! Was really fresh seeing Kareena after a long time.After I closed this app and went onto sleep, I can't stop but think about the film. I mean, what even the second half was for? What was it's purpose? Just the repetition of first half, visually. Whatever we already know by word of mouth, we now see it live. How can you just put such a horror scene with an empty story? Just to disturb the audience and take it as a praise? No, you are getting it wrong. The disturbance you created is very different from the disturbance you meant to create. Its just a disturbance of disappointment, that I feel.
