A look at poverty in post-war Athens. Kosmas, a young man living in the slums, constantly tries to make ends meet, hoping for a better day. Because of debts, he gets tangled up in smuggling. His morals are tested and he tries to find a way out.

Greek neo-realism. Difficult poverty stricken slum life in post-war Greece, a young man can't make payments on his car and to save his car from being repossessed, he contemplates the world of crime. Decent enough with fine location work, solid performances and It's a Wonderful Life kinda ending which was somewhat unearned but don't mind it.

Η αλληλεγγύη "Ντροπή ΜΑΣ να του πάρουν το αυτοκίνητο", η αλληλεγγύη ως αξία που δεν επανευφερίσκεται ευκαιριακά όπως προσπαθούμε σήμερα, αλλά ως σταθερά, ως προέκταση της αγάπης.
