The idea of Speira was "born" in 2004 in the city of Peloponnese, Pyrgos Ilias, Greece. Since then she has released 4 LPs [Katanalosi Paramithion (2006), Koinoxrista oneira (2008), Ypokatastasi (2012), H epoxi pou anatellei (2019)], 1 EP Palindromisi (2024), several singles and has participated in various tracks with friends from time to time. Speira's main voice and lyrics are from Nikolein (founding member) and main producer is KK (Speira, dio_miden_dio_miden). Η ιδέα της Σπείρας «γεννήθηκε» το 2004 στην πόλη της βορειοδυτικής Πελοποννήσου, τον Πύργο Ηλείας. Έκτοτε έχει κυκλοφορήσει 4 άλμπουμ "Κατανάλωση Παραμυθιών" (2006), "Κοινόχρηστα Όνειρα" (2008), "Υποκατάσταση" (2012), "Η εποχή που ανατέλλει" (2019), 1 EP "Παλινδρόμηση" (2024), αρκετά singles και έχει συμμετάσχει σε διάφορα κομμάτια σε δίσκους φίλων, ανά καιρούς. Στη βασική φωνή και στους στίχους της Σπείρας είναι ο Nikolein (ιδρυτικό μέλος) και κύριος μουσικός παραγωγός και συνοδοιπόρος είναι ο KK (Σπείρα, 2X2X).
