An underground r&b artist.
🏆 SXSW London 2025 Selection Blending the dusty, jazz-hop rhythms of the 90s with the electronic pulse of modern Berlin, Yasmin Umay is a vocalist and curator whose sound sits somewhere between the raw honesty of Cleo Sol and the timeless groove of Erykah Badu. A fixture in the Berlin underground and a host at Refuge Worldwide, Yasmin has performed at Reeperbahn Festival (ARTE Concert), Soho House, and the C/O Pop Festival. Her visual work for the single "Seeds" was nominated for Best Commissioned Work at the 2025 Berlin Festival of Animation. Featured in Hypebeast, Guap Mag, and Levi’s 501 Zine, she explores heritage, urban solitude, and German-Turkish identity through a lens of "future nostalgia." Follow for new drops IG: @ysmn.umay
