Norwegian trumpeter, composer, and producer Nils Petter Molvær is a pioneer of electro-acoustic jazz, known for blending jazz improvisation with ambient, house, and electronic beats. Since his milestone 1997 debut 'Khmer', he has shaped a unique style that incorporates polyrhythms and meditative soundscapes. His work creates intense, dramatic, and genre-defying audio landscapes that draw from hip-hop, rock, and pop. A veteran of the Scandinavian music scene, he has collaborated with figures like Arild Andersen and Marilyn Mazur, influencing generations of musicians in both jazz and electronic music.
