Expect creative sparks to fly from the duo partnership of Janine Jansen and Alexandre Kantorow. Jansen’s recording of Debussy’s Violin Sonata in G minor was praised for the beauty of her hushed playing and the fizz and crackle she brought to its outer movements. She and Kantorow, the first French pianist to win the Gold Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition, frame Debussy’s work with contrasting sonatas by Beethoven and Franck.
