Beginning his professional career in his early teens, Smith has built a reputation on the international blues circuit and recorded with legends such as B.B. King and Mick Jagger. His musical style is deeply rooted in the blues while incorporating elements of jazz and rock, focusing on intricate phrasing and rhythmic interaction. As an established producer and studio owner in Los Angeles, his live performances reflect a direct and improvisatory approach developed over years of playing on the bandstand.
