The Athens Baroque Festival returns for its 2026 edition at the German Church of Athens, presenting a multi-faceted program that explores the contrasts and diversity of the Baroque era. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of Portugal, the festival features themed evenings ranging from 16th-century Iberian love songs and the French school of flute to interactive educational sessions for children. The program culminates in a grand tribute to Johann Sebastian Bach, including his triple concerto and the celebrated Coffee Cantata. Under the artistic direction of Anastasia Miliori, the festival brings together distinguished soloists and ensembles performing on period instruments to revive the authentic sounds and improvisational traditions of the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
