Soft Power is a transdisciplinary festival and permanent platform at the intersection of art, music and social dialogue. Presented as a special project of Berlin Art Week 2026, the festival integrates exhibitions, performances, concerts, DJ sets, conversations, and shared meals into an open Gesamtkunstwerk. It centers on themes of diversity, resilience, and cohesion, exploring how culture exerts influence through values and persuasion rather than coercion. Initiated by Anahita Sadighi, the event views art as a collective practice. Its curatorial choreography follows a temporal progression—Arriving, Listening, Remembering, Imagining, Coming Together, Hosting, Ritualising, Resonating, Celebrating, and Becoming—to foster encounter and shared experience. The conceptual core is an exhibition co-curated with María Inés Plaza Lazo, featuring around 40 artists in visual art, performance, and food art. The festival also hosts a 48-hour dancefloor in the Sonnenraum and a 72-hour radio programme in collaboration with Refuge Worldwide, alongside an extensive talks series on collective imagination and nightlife as a political practice. The venue, Haus der Visionäre, will be activated across two industrial halls and outdoor areas.
