An underground, slow-burn classical night.
An ear-opening celebration of the engagement by Afrodiasporic composers past and present with the interaction between live instrumental and electronic music. Curated by Elaine Mitchener as part of George Lewis’s Afrodiasporic Incubator project, this concert features works that exemplify the Black radical tradition and sounds that seek to materialize worlds beyond violence and destruction. The program includes five UK premieres by electronic music pioneers from Morocco and the US alongside contemporary works for cello, clarinet, flute, and viola with electronics.
